SUNYIT in the list of High Energy Physics Laboratories and
Agencies
Since Sept. 2000 that I started my appointment at SUNYIT, I have
had extensive research
activities
that have included numerous publications in refereed journals (please see
the
publication links given in the main page) and proceedings of
national and international conferences, have edited several
particle physics proceedings books and have organized several
national / international particle
physics conferences and meetings.
My research activities lead to the official recognition of SUNYIT as a
high energy physics
institute in the list of ``High Energy Physics Laboratories and
Agencies,'' published by the
Particle Data Group
of the Lawrence Berkley
National Laboratory (LBNL).
SUNYIT was recognized (for the first time) in
the 2003-2004 list and continues to remain in the list since then. In this
list, all high energy physics institutes around the world that are
recognized by LBNL are listed. Up to the 2002-2003 list, among the SUNY
campuses, only the four major research centers (SUNY at Albany, SUNY at
Binghamton, SUNY at Buffalo and SUNY at Stony Brook) were listed. Starting
from the 2003-2004 list, SUNYIT has been added, and has become the 5th
SUNY institute in this list.
