Exhibit

The exhibition is offered free of charge.

Insurance

Venues will be responsible for purchasing wall to wall insurance for the value of the exhibit ($35,000).  The certificate of insurance should list the Lewis Henry Morgan Institute as the insured.  Venues with insurance can have their insurance provider write a rider to cover this requirement. Venues are responsible for providing liability insurance and any other insurances required by local, state and federal law.

Curatorial Services

Curatorial services to set-up and break down the exhibit ($350 per day plus accommodations if required).  The fee covers the cost of materials to hang the exhibit, mileage to/from the venue, and the services of the curator.  Venues may request to set up and break down the exhibit themselves.  Send requests to Dr. Andrew Wolfe with qualifications.  Venues are also responsible for providing 2-3 people to help the curator set-up and breakdown the exhibit.  These people need to be able to lift 50 pounds and work from 9 - 5 on the set-up and breakdown days.

Publicity

The venue is responsible for any costs associated with publicizing the exhibition at their venue. This includes a reception - either public or invited guests at the opening of the exhibit at the venue.

 Security

Minimum Security Level is required. The space should be locked and secured when it is closed, but does not need to be alarmed or guarded. No extremes of heat, humidity, or sunlight.

Damage

The venue is responsible for damage to the exhibit pieces beyond normal and expected wear.

Availability

Please see the schedule to find out when the exhibits are available for booking. 

Transit

Each venue is responsible for moving the exhibit to their site.  The exhibit is being moved by Northeast Transit ( netransit@yahoo.com ) 315-893-7022.  Please contact them for an estimate and moving date. Venues should expect shipping charges of at least $1000 for short (1 day) transits.  Venues are allowed to contract with other vendors to ship the exhibit.
