Favorite Team:              Notre Dame for College Football and the NY Giants for Professional Football.  Em’s father is big football fan, and those are his two favorite teams, so by default those are the two teams that Emily liked and watched.  We as a family would sometimes travel to the Meadowlands to watch as Giants game.

Favorite Song:               Crocodile Rock – When Em and her sister Kelly were younger a favorite song of theirs was Crocodile Rock by Elton John, when ever they were in the car together they were repeatedly listen to that song over and over and over and sing it.

Dave Matthews – Em loved anything Dave Matthews, she went to see two or three of his concerts.  She also saw Tim Reynolds play at Hobart and William Smith a week before she was killed.

Dance Music – Whatever was popular and played when she would go out, Em loved to dance and could bust a move to almost anything!

Favorite Movie:             Dirty Dancing was probably Em’s all time favorite movie, when she was little she also liked the movie Annie.

Hobbies:                        Em was very active; she liked anything that had to do with keeping healthy and in shape.  She was a runner, she liked to take bike rides, she played in the Gus Macker three-on-three basketball tournament in Norwich.  She coached gymnastics in the summer, and assisted with dance lessons during the school year.   She was a very active person.  She also loved listening to music, it was very rare that she would be home and there would not be music playing in her room.

Activities:                       Emily was involved in many extracurricular activities

Passions:                       One of Em’s passions was fashion; she was very attuned into what was in style.  She not only knew what was in style but she had an incredible sense of what was going to come into style.   Her college entrance essay and another essay give additional   information in Em’s words.

Goals:                            EM wanted to receive her bachelor’s degree in business management and then become a fashion buyer.

Career Choice:              Em wanted to be a fashion buyer for a large department store.

Favorite Subject:           English – Emily and Katie did their Senior Project together, they did such a great job on it that the Norwich High School English Department videotaped it and uses it to demonstrate a quality senior project.

Least Favorite:               Chemistry – Em was not a huge science fan, and chemistry would probably rank as her least favorite class.  Though she disliked it and she had a very challenging teacher she struggled through it eventually passing the regents exam.

Favorite Snack:             SPOON SUNDAE’S – Emily coined the term spoon sundae to describe the type of sundae you would often see her eating.  Well most of us would be eating a huge Sundae, Em would be standing at the counter with a baby spoon in her hand, she would take one baby spoon of ice cream out of the container, put a touch of chocolate on it and a couple of sprinkles.  That was her sundae, she was always health conscious and this was her way of enjoying sweets.

She also liked dry cereal, she would stand at the counter pouring cereal into her hand to eat it, it did not matter if it was sweetened or not.  Click for a picture of her doing just that when she was at college.

Em would sometimes bake also, one of her favorite things to bake was Chocolate Chip cookies – Click to see a Spanish assignment where she describes how to bake Chocolate Chip cookies.   She could also bake an incredible blueberry betty, (a.k.a. blueberry buckle).
